Holding responsibility for the management of the supply chain in Ireland this role will co-ordinate the supply of barley into the Athy Maltings and the supply of malt to our diverse customer base both domestically and for export.
The post holder will work with both internal and external stakeholders to meet our customer requirements.
As a link between Group Barley Risk Management and the Agronomy Team in Ireland will you will provide delivery forecasting along with the long and short term position of barley supply. This information will inform the pricing and procurement strategy for the business.
Working closely with the local Operations Team this role is responsible for planning and co-ordinating all aspects of malt orders including loading plans and haulier management to successfully deliver our commitment to On Time In Full and other Operational KPIs.
As part of the wider stakeholder management you will build relationships with customer contacts and provide support to both the industrial and craft cuastomers to ensure that strong working partnerships are developed.
Reporting to the Group Craft Manager you will support the Minch Malt brand to deliver Boortmalt’s craft ambitions to be masters of malt in both local and export markets.
The person we are looking for will have a strong understanding of the brewing and distilling sector and environment especially in Ireland.
Of graduate calibre the ideal candidate will be professionally qualified, in supply chain management, agricultural science or will hold a qualification in brewing or distilling.
Data literacy is important in this role to develop data driven decisions. We are looking for an organised person with strong planning skills along with strong stakeholder management abilities.
