The HSE Manager will deliver the highest standards by driving an open and proactive Health, Safety & Environment culture that fully involves employees and other stakeholders.

This role holder has responsibility for three sites, two in Suffolk and one in North Yorkshire. Regular travel is a feature of this role to promote, a consistent culture, and positive behaviours across all sites.

Continuous Improvement (CI) in our Safety and Environmental performance is aligned to the operational excellence framework (BOPEX). The post holder will draw on CI techniques to inspire, lead, direct and motivate site teams and having operated in a Lean/CI/Operational Excellence environment is advantageous.

Whilst we believe that Health, Safety and Environmental standards are driven by a positive and inclusive culture the role holder will also need to be technically competent and will work with site management teams to ensure compliance and that rigorous fundamental systems are in place. For example as Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and training for competent operators.

Were are looking for a manager with demonstrable experience in developing and driving a safety culture. Qualified in a Safety or Environmental management such as a NEBOSH diploma or IOSH or similar. Experience of manufacturing or engineering is advantageous. Fluent in English.
